Benefits of Gymboree Explorers

Physical

Through jumping, climbing, crawling, and dancing, children will have the opportunity to develop their balance and coordination skills. Physical play helps build strong muscles and bones, which is vital as your little one is growing.

Cognitive

Imaginative play helps activate the brain and develop problem solving skills, communication, and creativity. An immersive imaginative environment helps toddlers to explore the world and improves cognitive development. When children pretend play, it also helps them to express emotions. Through play, emotions become more familiar and safer. Imaginative play and games as well as storytime also develop vocabulary.

Social

Imaginative play with other preschoolers helps your child to rehearse social interactions in a cooperative way, a practice that will enhance building friendships.

When your preschooler joins other children to explore castles and spaceships, they are not only exploring a fantasy world, but also learning complex rules about sharing, social interaction, and conflict resolution.

The classroom setting helps children prepare for school and learn to socialise with other children. Imaginative play helps your preschooler sort out any anxieties about the past or future they may have. This is an important time in your child’s development: figuring out how to make friends is a special time in their life – and yours!

Adults

School is only a few years away, and in Gymboree Explorers, you can witness your child’s mind come to life. Being part of their learning journey is great to understand your child more, whilst building your parent-child bond. They are only this small for so long, so let’s enjoy the time and play together.

Joining in an imaginative classroom with your child strengthens your bond and helps you to understand their world. Gymboree Explorers is a delightful way to be imaginative with your child, in an interactive and fun environment. If your child invites you to play a role, join in. Taking on the role assigned lets your child explore their imaginative plot.

You provide an essential role through participating in class, supporting your child to climb and jump. Adults can help their child to build confidence through imaginative play. Gymboree Explorers is a fun space, building a sense of community for the child’s caregiver, which also has a positive impact on the child. As a family, you will develop fun memories with your little explorer.
